Choirs

If you are a singer and would like to be part of the Gloria Deo choir (adult voices) or of the Cantamus Deo choir (children’s voices), let our Music Director know.

Gloria Deo Choir

The Gloria Deo choir was founded in 2006 by Bernard Vallandingham for the purpose of learning and singing great sacred music from throughout the history of the church. From the plainsong melodies of St. Ambrose, through the Lutheran Chorales and metrical Psalmody of the Reformation and the high Renaissance polyphony of the Counter-Reformation, on to contemporary times with the music of the Orthodox composer Richard Toensing as well as works by Bernard himself, the Gloria Deo choir strives to enrich the worship of God with the best that musicians in the Church have created throughout the ages.

Deo Cantamus Children’s Choir

Deo Cantamus Children’s Choir is a Christian Choir for children ages 7 to 12 and is open to all singers in southern Maryland. The children also learn how to read music and develop their voices.
